6 questions
What does KastHunt actually do?

KastHunt is an AI-native healthcare technology and consulting firm. We build working AI products for clinic owners, healthtech founders, and hospital decision-makers - from live Proof of Concept demos you can interact with before committing, to full-scale product development under our SPOC model. Every engagement begins with a free Discovery Workshop.

Where do I start if I have never worked with KastHunt before?

The PoC Lab is the right first step for most visitors. Browse our live healthcare AI products - filter by clinical domain, watch the 5-minute demo video, and interact with the product before any conversation begins. If you already know what you need, go directly to Talk to Us and select the engagement path that fits.

What is a Discovery Workshop and do I have to pay for it?

A Discovery Workshop is a free structured 60-minute session where KastHunt maps your clinical workflow, your compliance requirements, your existing technology stack, and your definition of success - before any build is scoped or costed. It is not a sales call. It is the diagnostic that makes everything that follows more precise. No commitment required. No payment at any stage until an Engagement Agreement is signed.

Do I need to be a healthcare organisation to work with KastHunt?

No - but healthcare is where we do our best work. Our PoC Lab, advisory board, and SPOC model are all built around the specific requirements of clinical environments. If you are a healthtech founder building a product for the healthcare market, or a technology investor evaluating a healthcare AI product, we can work with you. If your project has no healthcare dimension, we may refer you to a more suitable firm.

Which markets does KastHunt serve?

We serve clients across the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and Canada. Our team is based in Shimla, India and operates remotely. We understand the specific compliance frameworks, clinical contexts, and market dynamics of each geography - UK NHS, US private healthcare, Australian public and private health systems, and Canadian provincial health frameworks.

What is the KastHunt SPOC model?

SPOC stands for Single Point of Contact. Every KastHunt Enterprise engagement is owned end-to-end by one person - your SPOC - who is personally and contractually accountable for the brief, the build, the brand programme, the partner agencies, the timeline, and the delivery guarantee. You never chase multiple people for updates. You never receive conflicting information from different team members. One person. Full accountability. See the SPOC Model page for the full detail.

6 questions
What is the PoC Lab?

The PoC Lab is a collection of 20 live, deployable healthcare AI products that you can interact with before committing to any build or conversation. Products range from Clinical Scribe and Discharge Summary AI to Remote Vitals Monitor, Prior Authorisation AI, and Staff Scheduler. Each product has a 5-minute demo video, a clinical context explanation, and an "I'm Interested" button that initiates a free walkthrough booking.

Are the PoC Lab products working software or just demos?

They are working software - not mockups, not recorded walkthroughs, not conceptual demos. Every product in the PoC Lab has been built, tested, and reviewed against clinical workflow reality before it was published. You interact with the actual product. What you see is what gets deployed.

How long does it take to deploy a PoC Lab product?

Typically 2-3 weeks from the walkthrough call to go-live, depending on EHR integration complexity and the number of clinicians being onboarded. The walkthrough maps your specific clinical setting, your EHR system, and your documentation requirements - from that call, KastHunt produces a deployment timeline with a confirmed go-live date before any payment is made.

Can I customise a PoC Lab product for my specific clinical setting?

Yes - customisation is expected, not optional. Every clinical setting has different documentation standards, EHR systems, workflow patterns, and compliance requirements. The walkthrough call identifies what needs to be customised and what the timeline and cost implications are. Standard customisation - format templates, EHR integration, user onboarding - is included in the deployment scope. Significant feature additions are scoped separately.

What happens after a PoC is deployed?

Monthly maintenance at $600/month covers ongoing technical support, model accuracy updates based on your clinical feedback, EHR integration monitoring, compliance documentation updates, and a dedicated point of contact for any post-deployment issues. KastHunt does not hand over a product and disappear. The SPOC relationship continues post-deployment.

What if no PoC Lab product matches what I need?

Tell us through the Talk to Us form - select "Proof of Concept" as your path and describe your requirement. If a product does not exist in the lab yet, KastHunt will assess whether a custom PoC sprint is viable. A custom PoC is typically scoped and delivered in 2-4 weeks at a fixed cost agreed before work begins.

Services & Delivery

Services & Delivery

7 questions
What is the difference between a PoC, an MVP, and a Full-Scale product?

A PoC (Proof of Concept) is a working product from the KastHunt lab - deployed in 2-3 weeks, fixed cost, clinically reviewed. An MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is a custom product built from scratch to your specification - sprint-based, 6-10 weeks, production-ready. A Full-Scale product is an end-to-end enterprise delivery - architecture, engineering, QA, compliance, deployment, and ongoing programme management under the SPOC model, typically 4-6 months. Each tier builds on the previous - many clients start with a PoC, validate with an MVP, and scale to Full-Scale.

What does "AI-native engineering" mean in practice?

It means AI is built into how we work - not added as a feature. Our engineers use AI-assisted development as standard, which compresses timelines significantly. A product that would have taken 9-12 months to build traditionally can be delivered in weeks without sacrificing quality, compliance, or clinical credibility. Every sprint still ends with a QA-reviewed, clinician-tested preview build - the speed comes from the process, not from shortcuts.

How are success metrics defined and what happens if they are not met?

Success metrics are defined and agreed in writing during the Discovery Workshop - before any build begins, before any payment is made. Specific, measurable outcomes tied to defined milestones. If KastHunt fails to deliver against those agreed metrics, a structured partial refund process is activated as specified in the Engagement Agreement. This is a contractual commitment, not a promise. Details are confirmed before day one.

Can I see progress during the build - or only at the end?

Every two-week sprint ends with a working preview build that you interact with - not a status report, not a meeting. You see functioning software at the end of every sprint. By the time the final delivery arrives, you have already interacted with the product multiple times and there are no surprises. Issues are caught and corrected during sprints - not discovered at delivery.

Who actually builds the product?

A dedicated team - designers, developers, QA engineers, and a solution architect - is assigned from day one. Your SPOC sits above that team, owning every decision, milestone, and communication. You never chase multiple people for updates. The team builds it. Your SPOC owns it. Every delivery is reviewed internally by the solution architect and your SPOC before it reaches you.

Do you work with our existing technology stack?

Yes. We build API-first and work with HL7, FHIR, EHR integrations, legacy system connectivity, and cloud-native architecture on AWS, GCP, and Azure. The Discovery Workshop maps your existing stack and designs around it - nothing is ripped out unnecessarily. If there are integration constraints that affect the build, they are identified during discovery and addressed before the scope is finalised.

What is included in the handover at the end of an engagement?

Every KastHunt engagement includes: a deployed product live in your environment, complete source code in a Git repository (you own 100%), full architecture documentation, API documentation for any integrations, sprint-by-sprint QA reports, a compliance documentation package relevant to your market, a security and data handling summary, and a 30-day post-launch support window. Nothing is withheld. No lock-in.

Healthcare & Compliance

Healthcare & Compliance

6 questions
How does KastHunt understand healthcare if it is a technology firm?

Our founding healthcare advisor Leela Verma has 40 years of frontline NHS and clinical experience across nursing, medicine, drug abuse rehabilitation, and behavioural health. Our CEO grew up in a clinical household and spent nine years in healthcare technology before founding KastHunt. Every product in the PoC Lab is reviewed against one question before publication: would a clinician with four decades of frontline experience trust this with a real patient?

Which compliance frameworks does KastHunt build to?

We build with HIPAA and HITECH for US clients, UK GDPR and NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit for UK clients, Privacy Act 1988 and ADHA guidelines for Australian clients, and NABH for Indian clients. Compliance is built into the architecture from day one - not retrofitted at the end. The specific frameworks applicable to your engagement are identified during the Discovery Workshop and documented before any build begins.

Is a Business Associate Agreement required for US healthcare clients?

Yes - any engagement involving Protected Health Information (PHI) requires a BAA before work begins. KastHunt's standard BAA is provided within one business day of request. For engagements where PHI is not involved - for example, building an appointment management or staff scheduling tool without patient data - a BAA may not be required. This is confirmed during the Discovery Workshop.

Are KastHunt's products classified as medical devices?

KastHunt's products are AI technology tools designed to support - not replace - clinical judgement. Administrative AI products (clinical documentation, appointment management, billing automation) are generally not classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). Clinical AI products that influence diagnosis or treatment decisions may be subject to MHRA (UK), FDA (US), TGA (Australia), or CDSCO (India) SaMD classification. KastHunt identifies potential SaMD classification risk at discovery stage and advises clients on regulatory requirements before any build begins. KastHunt does not provide regulatory legal advice - clients are responsible for obtaining independent regulatory guidance.

What happens to patient data during the PoC Lab demos?

None of the PoC Lab demos use real patient data. All demos run on synthetic, clinically realistic sample data - generated specifically to demonstrate clinical workflows without involving any real patient information. No real patient data enters kasthunt.com at any point.

How does KastHunt handle patient data in deployed products?

Where a deployed KastHunt product processes patient data, it does so on behalf of the client under a Data Processing Agreement. The client remains the data controller. KastHunt processes data only under the client's written instruction. Standard data handling principles apply across all deployments: encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, full audit trails, no patient data used for model training, and Business Associate Agreement in place before any PHI is processed by any third-party system.

Pricing & Contracts

Pricing & Contracts

6 questions
How much does a PoC deployment cost?

PoC deployment pricing is fixed and agreed before the walkthrough. Pricing depends on the product selected, the EHR integration complexity, and the level of customisation required for your clinical setting. Monthly maintenance is $600/month across all PoC products. Full pricing is discussed during the walkthrough - not before, because the same product costs different amounts to deploy in a GP practice versus a 50-location hospital group.

How is MVP pricing structured?

AI Product Build (MVP) engagements are priced on a sprint basis - each two-week sprint is a fixed cost agreed before it begins. Total cost is determined by the number of sprints required, which is scoped during the Discovery Workshop. You approve the full sprint plan and total cost before the first sprint starts. No surprises mid-build.

What is milestone-based pricing for Full-Scale engagements?

Full-Scale Enterprise engagements are priced on a milestone basis - the total fee is divided into payments tied to specific, agreed delivery milestones. You pay when defined milestones are achieved, not on a time-based schedule. Success metrics are agreed before day one. The delivery guarantee applies across the full engagement.

Do you charge for the Discovery Workshop?

No. The Discovery Workshop is free - always. It is the first step in every KastHunt engagement and carries no commitment on either side. If the Discovery Workshop reveals that KastHunt is not the right fit for your project, we will say so clearly and, where possible, point you toward a more appropriate firm.

What contracts are involved in a KastHunt engagement?

Depending on the engagement type: a Non-Disclosure Agreement (available immediately on request), a Master Services Agreement governing the overall relationship, an Engagement Agreement or Statement of Work covering the specific scope and deliverables, and - for healthcare engagements involving patient data - a Data Processing Agreement and, for US clients, a Business Associate Agreement. All contracts are reviewed and agreed before work begins and before any payment is made.

Can I start with a PoC and scale to a Full-Scale engagement?

Yes - and this is the most common journey. The discovery work, clinical workflow mapping, and compliance scoping from a PoC engagement carry forward into an MVP or Full-Scale engagement. The codebase from a PoC can be the foundation of a custom MVP - you never start over. The SPOC relationship that begins at PoC continues through every subsequent tier.

Working With Us

5 questions
How quickly does KastHunt respond to enquiries?

Every submission through the Talk to Us form receives a personal response within three business days. If you book a Discovery Workshop directly, the earliest available slot is 48 hours from booking - this gives us time to review your requirements before the call so we come prepared.

Can I speak to someone before filling in a form?

Yes - email info@kasthunt.com with a brief description of what you are working on and your preferred contact time. We will respond within one business day and arrange a call directly. You do not have to fill in the Talk to Us form to start a conversation.

Does KastHunt work with startups that have limited budgets?

The PoC Lab exists specifically for this reason. For a fixed, accessible cost, a startup or early-stage founder can deploy a clinically reviewed, working healthcare AI product in 2-3 weeks - without the risk and cost of a full custom build. Many healthtech founders use a PoC deployment to generate investor interest and letters of intent before committing to a full MVP build.

Is KastHunt remote or do you work on-site?

KastHunt is remote-friendly with a physical headquarters in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India at 2,200 metres above sea level. The team works across Indian, UK, and Australian time zones. All client engagements are managed remotely - calls, sprint reviews, and Discovery Workshops are conducted over video. On-site visits can be arranged for Enterprise engagements on request.

Who will I be working with at KastHunt?

On PoC engagements: you interact primarily with the account manager and the deployment engineer. On MVP and Full-Scale engagements: you interact with your SPOC, who is your single point of contact from discovery to delivery. Your SPOC is the person who read your brief, scoped your engagement, and is contractually accountable for the outcome. You always know exactly who owns your project.

Technical

5 questions
What programming languages and frameworks does KastHunt use?

Our core stack is Python (FastAPI) and Node.js for backend development, React for frontend interfaces, and cloud deployment on AWS, GCP, or Render depending on the engagement requirements. For AI and ML components we use the Anthropic Claude API, OpenAI API, and Google Gemini API. Agentic workflows are built using LangChain and LangGraph. All builds are API-first and designed to integrate with existing healthcare infrastructure.

Which EHR systems can KastHunt integrate with?

We have established integration pathways with Epic (FHIR R4, SMART on FHIR), Oracle Cerner (FHIR R4), Athenahealth, Jane App, SystmOne, EMIS Web, SimplePractice, eClinicalWorks, DrChrono, and Tebra. For EHR systems not on this list, we assess API access and integration pathway during the Discovery Workshop before any build commitment is made. We work with HL7 and FHIR standards as the baseline for all healthcare integrations.

Does KastHunt build mobile applications?

Yes - where the clinical use case requires a mobile interface, KastHunt builds responsive web applications accessible on mobile devices and, where required, native iOS or Android applications. Mobile scope is identified during the Discovery Workshop and factored into sprint planning and pricing.

Who owns the code after the engagement?

You do - completely. At the end of every KastHunt engagement, the client receives the complete Git repository containing all source code, architecture documentation, and deployment configuration. There is no lock-in, no licensing fee, and no dependency on KastHunt to keep the product running. The only exception is PoC Lab products, where the client receives a licence to the configured instance - not the underlying product codebase - as set out in the Engagement Agreement.

Can KastHunt work alongside our existing technology team or agency?

Yes. KastHunt's SPOC model is designed to integrate with existing client-side teams and third-party agencies. Your SPOC manages all coordination - you do not need to act as the interface between KastHunt and your other technology partners. Where KastHunt identifies a capability gap that requires a specialist agency or individual, we activate the right partner from our network and manage them on your behalf.
